Police searching for two missing tourists in the Kilkivan area have located a vehicle believed to have been used by the couple.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, who were Chinese tourists, were travelling in a silver Subaru Forester from Brisbane to the North Burnett when they failed to reach their destination.<\/p>\n

A search began on Wednesday morning involving police, SES and helicopters in the Kilkivan to Mundubbera area.<\/p>\n

A silver vehicle was located on Wednesday afternoon in floodwaters near Kilkivan-Tansey Road and McArthur Road.<\/p>\n

This is west of Kilkivan, near the Wide Bay Creek bridge.<\/p>\n

Photos taken from the 7News helicopter show the vehicle semi-submerged.<\/p>\n

Police are at the scene and the search is continuing.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the two missing tourists have been urged to contact police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
