Seven Paul Harris Fellows\u00a0were presented with their awards at the Kingaroy Rotary Club\u2019s changeover meeting held at Kingaroy RSL Club on Monday night.<\/p>\n

The Paul Harris Fellowship honours Rotary founder and Chicago lawyer Paul Harris who began the movement in 1905.<\/p>\n

Individual Rotary clubs around the world honour outstanding individuals as Paul Harris Fellows. \u00a0These people must meet high professional and personal standards and are not limited to Rotarians.<\/p>\n

Club awardees were former club presidents Mark Huston and Richard Rose; long-serving club treasurer Vince Evans, and Martin Boettcher.<\/p>\n

Non-Rotarians presented with awards were Martin Boettcher’s wife Emma; Centacare South Burnett\u00a0co-ordinator Louise Judge; and Endeavour Kingaroy Kitchen manager\u00a0Hazel Patterson.<\/p>\n

Martin and Emma Boettcher raised a record $2000 for Rotary International\u2019s Polio Plus program.<\/p>\n

The club also handed out cheques to a number of local groups: $1000 to South Burnett Young Leaders, $500 to Meals on Wheels and $500 to Centacare South Burnett.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the dinner was the installation, \u00a0by Past District Governor Eric Wood, of the incoming Executive for 2013-14:<\/strong><\/p>\n
