{"id":369832,"date":"2026-03-06T13:17:19","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T03:17:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=369832"},"modified":"2026-03-06T13:54:53","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T03:54:53","slug":"driver-critical-after-crash-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2026\/03\/06\/driver-critical-after-crash-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver Critical After Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>March 6, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A man aged in his 60s was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a critical condition after his car and a B-Double truck collided at Chelmsford on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred at the intersection of Tingoora-Chelmsford Road and Wondai-Proston Road about 10:45am.<\/p>\n<p>A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said two fire crews attended.<\/p>\n<p><strong>They used cutting and spreading equipment to free the man from the vehicle, which was lying on its side.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A QAS spokesperson said the driver &#8211; who was the only occupant of the Toyota RAV4 &#8211; had head, arm and leg injuries.<\/p>\n<p>He was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital in a life-threatening condition; a rescue helicopter was expected to meet him at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The truck driver, a man aged in his 70s, was not physically injured.<\/p>\n<p>The police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[UPDATED]<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man aged in his 60s was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a critical condition after his car and a B-Double truck collided at Chelmsford on Friday morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":153151,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,24],"tags":[25,1611,1132],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
