Police are investigating a string of break-ins and thefts which have occurred in Wondai and Murgon, including an incident on Thursday morning where a stolen car crashed into a house.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said that between 12:30am and 1:10am on Thursday, thieves broke into a house in Haly Street, Wondai, by cutting through a flyscreen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They found a garage door controller and two sets of vehicle keys before stealing a Holden Calais and white Ford Ranger from the address.<\/p>\n

The Holden Calais later crashed into a house in Fisher Street, Cherbourg, but fortunately there was no one inside the home at the time.<\/p>\n

The Ford Ranger was also located in Cherbourg.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0About 2:00pm on Monday, thieves smashed a glass door to break into a business in Mackenzie Street, Wondai, and steal a cash till.<\/strong><\/p>\n

About 12:15am on Tuesday, thieves stole a set of vehicle keys from a property in McLucas Street, Murgon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They then used the keys to steal a vehicle which was later found burnt out in Collins Road, Cherbourg.<\/p>\n

They allegedly entered the building through a closed but unlocked door.<\/p>\n

About 1:15am on Tuesday, would-be thieves allegedly tried to break in to an Edward Street, Wondai, address by climbing on an air-conditioner unit to reach the kitchen window.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The offenders attempted to open the window but were unable to gain entry, and left in an unknown vehicle.<\/p>\n

About 25 minutes later, thieves tried to break into a house in Grant Crescent through a locked front security screen door.<\/p>\n

They were unable to gain entry.<\/p>\n
