Akaysha Energy, the developer of the Halys Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Ellesmere,\u00a0 plans to hold a community drop-in session later this month.<\/p>\n

The 400MW \/ 1600MWh BESS will be built on Oakey Creek Back Road, next to the existing Halys Substation.<\/p>\n

The drop-in session will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, March 14, at the Kumbia Memorial Hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

South Burnett residents have been invited to meet members of the Akaysha Energy team and learn more about the project.<\/p>\n

Akaysha Energy has also invited local trades and suppliers to attend a Jobs Fair at the Carrollee Hotel in King Street, Kingaroy, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, March 13.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Representatives from the principal contractor for the Ellesmere project, Consolidated Power Projects (CPP), will provide information about the construction process, on-site requirements and local job opportunities.<\/p>\n
