The former Peanut Company of Australia promotional truck made its debut under its new Council ownership at this month’s Motors’N’Mochas in Kingaroy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

There’s no competitions, no trophies, no entry fees – and not even any obligation to always show up – but that’s what’s made Motors’N’Mochas so popular in Kingaroy<\/p>\n

The latest outing, organised by Kingaroy resident Paul Zenovich on February 22, attracted an incredible 450 vehicles plus about 100 motorbikes.<\/p>\n

“It was our biggest one yet,” Paul said.<\/p>\n

The first Motors’N’Mochas was held in mid-2022 and attracted 150 vehicles (Paul had expected about 20 …)<\/p>\n

The second outing in February 2023 proved to be even bigger, and the event has continued to grow since then.<\/p>\n

Motors’N’Mochas is held twice a year at the Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club grounds near Kingaroy Airport.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The concept is simple … bring along your pride and joy to show it off for a couple of hours on a lazy Sunday morning, buy a coffee from the vans, visit the club’s canteen to get some food and, of course, admire all the other amazing machines on display.<\/p>\n

Paul said he started Motors’N’Mochas because he knew there were a lot of “cool cars” in town which only seemed to come out for the high school formals.<\/p>\n

“I started it so I could see a lot of them myself!” he said.<\/p>\n

“It’s not a show, it’s a ‘park up’. You just show up so you can appreciate your vehicle, and everyone else’s vehicle.”<\/p>\n

The dollar value of the vehicles that roll in can be astounding.<\/p>\n

“On one occasion, we had two cars worth about $250,000 each parked side by side,” he said.<\/p>\n

Last Sunday’s display would have been worth a total of a couple of million at least.<\/p>\n

No date has been set yet for the next Motors’N’Mochas but it will be advertised ahead of time on the event’s Facebook page<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
