A\u202fdozen more offences will be added to the Adult Crime, Adult Time legislation in Queensland.<\/p>\n

The 12 offences are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Assault occasioning bodily harm\u202f<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Conspiring to murder<\/li>\n
  • Unlawful stalking, intimidation,\u202fharassment\u202for abuse<\/li>\n
  • Riot<\/li>\n
  • Abuse of persons with an impairment of the mind<\/li>\n
  • Indecent treatment of a child under the age of 16<\/li>\n
  • Choking, suffocation, or strangulation in a domestic setting<\/li>\n
  • Disabling\u202fin order to\u202fcommit an indictable offence<\/li>\n
  • Stupefying\u202fin order to\u202fcommit an indictable offence<\/li>\n
  • Endangering the safety of a person in a vehicle with intent<\/li>\n
  • Aiding suicide<\/li>\n
  • Administering poison with intent to harm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The State Government says that since\u202fthe passing of the Making Queensland Safer\u202fLaws, more than 4000 youth offenders have been charged with\u202fmore than 19,000 Adult Crime, Adult Time offences and the number of crime victims\u202fhas fallen 7.2 per cent (in 2025, compared with the previous year).\u202f\u202f<\/p>\n
