Primary Industries Minister Tony Perrett<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The new Queensland Dairy Plan was launched last Friday in Gympie by Primary Industries Minister Tony Perrett and industry body, eastAUSmilk.<\/p>\n

The plan, which lays out a pathway for the industry through to 2032, identifies five key actions over the next six years:<\/p>\n

1. Improved support for industry entry and exit,<\/p>\n

2. A climate and natural disaster program for dairying,<\/p>\n

3. Identifying expanded feed options,<\/p>\n

4. On-farm uptake of new automation and technology, and<\/p>\n

5. Improving the productivity and management of pastures.<\/p>\n

It was developed with assistance from key industry organisations, including the Department of Primary Industries, Bega Cheese, Norco Co-operative, Lactalis Australia, Dairy Farmers Milk and Sub-Tropical Dairy.<\/p>\n
