The South Burnett National Show Society – the not-for-profit association which owns the Kingaroy Showgrounds – has been working hard to update the facility.<\/p>\n

The association received a $100,000 grant last year from the State Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund.<\/p>\n

A new roof and gutters have been installed on the main Kucks Pavilion as well as upgrading the bore pump which provides irrigation for the showgrounds.<\/p>\n

A number of equipment upgrades are also planned for the main canteen beside the show ring.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Show Society president David Muller said the Kucks Pavilion had been built in the 1950s.<\/p>\n

He said the upgrades would be finished well ahead of the 118th show which will be held on the first weekend in May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
