The State Government is seeking feedback on a draft management plan for feral pigs.<\/p>\n

The Queensland Feral Pig Management Action Plan 2026\u20132031 aims to ensure a co-ordinated approach to tackling one of Queensland\u2019s most destructive pest animals.<\/p>\n

A government spokesperson said the draft was developed after regional workshops and consultations with stakeholders.<\/p>\n

It aligns with the National Feral Pig Action Plan to ensure consistency with national objectives.<\/p>\n

Primary Industries Minister Tony Perrett said feral pig management was not a “one-size-fits-all”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“What works in Cape York won\u2019t be the same as what\u2019s needed in the Darling Downs,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCollaboration is critical because everyone has a responsibility to take reasonable steps to manage feral pigs on land under their control.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is why we\u2019re working with landholders, regional groups and industry to ensure this plan reflects real-world challenges and solutions on the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

Copies of the draft plan, and information about how to provide feedback, is available online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n
