Kingaroy Services downed Wondai Wolves in a high-scoring South Burnett senior cricket match played in Kingaroy last Saturday.<\/p>\n

The short boundaries at Taabinga State School ensured plenty of big hits by both sides.<\/p>\n

Wolves won the toss and elected to bat.<\/p>\n

They were all out in the 39th over for 212 runs with opener Nathan Nixon top-scoring with 70, including eight 4s and two 6s.<\/p>\n

Jackson Merritt (41 not out) also batted strongly, hitting five 6s after narrowly escaping a run-out.<\/p>\n

Clinton Branch cleaned up the tail, taking 3\/33 off seven overs as well as the important catch which finished Nixon’s innings.<\/p>\n

In reply, Services (2\/216) overcame the target for just the loss of two wickets, but these both fell in a dramatic fashion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wondai’s Ryan Kelly claimed both Kingaroy opening batters, Fletcher Black (47) and Joshua Fearby (69),\u00a0 with caught and bowled dismissals.<\/p>\n

Kelly finished with figures of 2\/8 off eight overs, including four maidens.<\/p>\n

Lachlan Watson (63 not out) and Glenn Kelly (21 not out) finished out the innings for Kingaroy in the 39th over.<\/p>\n

Saints, who will be taking on Warriors this weekend at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy, are still leading the South Burnett Cricket Association ladder.<\/p>\n

      Valleys won the toss and elected to bat and were all out in the 35th over.<\/p>\n

      Kieran Askin (4\/19 off seven overs),\u00a0 Michael Davies (3\/19 off eight) and Archie Koehler (2\/14 off 4.4) were the best of the Warriors’ bowlers.<\/p>\n

      Lochlan Burrows (not out 45 off 59 balls) did most of the work in the Wooroolin innings.<\/p>\n
