Queensland’s most senior Catholic, Archbishop Mark Coleridge, dropped into St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy on Friday to talk to students and hand out various awards.<\/p>\n

Coleridge was installed as leader of the Brisbane Archdiocese in May last year, and since then has been attempting to visit all the Catholic schools and parishes throughout his region.<\/p>\n

He is visiting the South Burnett this weekend and will be attending Mass at Cooyar, Blackbutt, Nanango, Kumbia and Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

He will also be presiding over First Holy Communion and Confirmation ceremonies in Kingaroy parish.<\/p>\n

He attended St Mary’s Catholic College’s last school assembly for the term, handing out awards to students.<\/p>\n

He also congratulated the students on their effort to collect a trailerload of non-perishable foodstuffs in just 14 days to present to Centacare South Burnett for its Winter Appeal.<\/p>\n
