The Plymouth Brethren’s Rapid Relief Team helped South Burnett SES volunteers celebrate their recent 50th anniversary at the Nanango SES shed.<\/p>\n

The evening, held on November 24, attracted SES members from across the South Burnett region.<\/p>\n

The Rapid Relief Team volunteers served up hamburgers, refreshments and cake.<\/p>\n

RRT spokesperson Ralph Collett said the night had provided a meaningful opportunity to honour and recognise SES volunteers for their dedication and service to the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a privilege for our team to support the South Burnett awards night and show our appreciation for the SES,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re especially grateful for the dedication of first responders who consistently put their community first, often in the toughest circumstances.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to serve a meal is our small way of saying thank you for everything they do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Queensland’s State Emergency Service was founded in 1975 and now has more than 5000 volunteers operating across the State.<\/p>\n

The Rapid Relief Team is the\u00a0charitable arm of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church,.<\/p>\n

It aims to support frontline emergency services by providing food, donations and other resources, as well as hosting events for the community.<\/p>\n
