December 3, 2025 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious traffic crash which occurred on Oakey-Cooyar Road at Highgrove on Tuesday to contact police.<\/p>\n

Initial investigations indicate that just before 2:00pm a BT-50 Mazda utility, travelling south, and a B-Double cattle truck, travelling north, collided.<\/p>\n

The driver of the ute, an 18-year-old Westbrook woman, was airlifted by LifeFlight with critical head and leg injuries.<\/p>\n

She was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women\u2019s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.<\/p>\n

The driver of the B-Double, a 35-year-old Dalby man, was uninjured.<\/p>\n

The LifeFlight chopper landed in a paddock close to the incident.<\/p>\n

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash – and, in particular anyone who may have rendered assistance to the 18-year-old woman at the scene – to come forward.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n

A woman aged in her 40s suffered critical injuries on Wednesday afternoon when her vehicle ran off the Wide Bay Highway at Bells Bridge and hit a tree.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A QAS spokesperson said the woman was transported in a life-threatening condition by ambulance to Gympie Hospital and then airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the incident at 1:50pm.<\/p>\n
