Disability Services Minister Amanda Camm was the special guest at an “All AbiliTea” morning tea held at the Endeavour Foundation’s Kingaroy Kitchen on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

The Member for Whitsunday – who is also the Minister for Families, Seniors, Child Safety and the Prevention Of Domestic & Family Violence – was invited to the South Burnett by local MP, Attorney-General Deb Frecklington.<\/p>\n

The morning tea celebrated “International Day Of People With A Disability” as well as kicking off Endeavour’s 75th birthday celebrations.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Kitchen was one of 36 Endeavour Foundation sites across Australia which were celebrating on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

A short video celebrating inclusion was shown to the invited guests, who enjoyed morning team prepared by the Kingaroy Kitchen team, some of whom have been working at the site for more than 25 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A special guest was Endeavour Foundation CEO Andrew Chesterman who has been with the organisation for just six weeks.<\/p>\n

He said Endeavour supported 6500 people with a disability across Australia, and was the largest employer of people with an intellectual disability.<\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington praised Endeavour for providing an incredible service in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Minister Camm also praised Endeavour for creating a “true social enterprise” in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

“On behalf of Queensland, thank you to each and every one of you,” she said.<\/p>\n

Endeavour Foundation was born in 1951 as a people-powered movement for change, led by parents who demanded equal opportunities for their children.<\/p>\n
