Kingaroy Rotary Club’s Geoff Hosking and his partner Dianne Kowalski unveiled the new seat on Tuesday morning<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

When Kingaroy resident Dianne Kowalski dropped off her partner Geoff recently at the Glendon Street bus stop, she noticed the number of people standing on the footpath.<\/p>\n

The one bench seat at the bus stop was obviously not enough!<\/p>\n

Dianne raised the problem with her friends at the Kingaroy Rotary Club, who sprang into action.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Rotary immediate past president Mark Huston said the club realised supplying a second seat would be a good idea, so approached the South Burnett Regional Council for permission.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The cost was $2500 which was covered by the club.<\/p>\n

The new seat was officially unveiled on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

Mr Huston thanked Council for giving the club the opportunity to do something for the community.<\/p>\n
