South Burnett councillors have formally adopted the 2025 Community Plans developed for various towns and villages across the region.<\/p>\n

The plans – for Blackbutt-Benarkin, Bunya Mountains, Coolabunia, Crawford, Durong, Hivesville, Kingaroy, Kumbia, Maidenwell, Memerambi, Moffatdale, Murgon, Nanango, Proston, Tingoora, Wondai, Wooroolin and Other Localities (ie. Ballogie, Cloyna, Coverty, Goodger, Ironpot, Mondure, Wheatlands and Windera) – aim to identify the key priorities for each town and village.<\/p>\n

They will be used to guide future decision-making by council.<\/p>\n

Seven community meetings were held across the region in April and May this year to collect initial ideas, followed by another nine sessions to provide feedback on draft plans.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meetings were hosted by Councillors and Council staff.<\/p>\n

A motion that Council adopt the Community Strategic Plan 2025-2035 was passed unanimously by councillors on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Community Plans will be available to download from Council’s website.<\/p>\n
