Nominations are now open for the 2026 South Burnett Regional Youth Council.<\/p>\n

Motivated young people aged 12 to 24 who live anywhere in the South Burnett and Cherbourg council areas have been invited to become part of the group.<\/p>\n

Youth Council chair Cr Danita Potter said it was a great opportunity for young people to have a voice, give advice to Council in its decision-making and gain valuable leadership and personal development skills.<\/p>\n

“The youth are integral in shaping the region\u2019s future as it is their region and their future,” Cr Potter said.<\/p>\n

“I have been very excited to be a part of Youth Council during 2025 and look forward to next year\u2019s group.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Youth Council will consist of up to 20 members, aiming for a diverse representation of the youth population across the region.<\/p>\n
