Former Kingaroy resident – and Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medallist! – Taliqua Clancy will be in action at the Beach Volleyball World Championships in Adelaide this week.<\/p>\n

Clancy will be taking to the court with new partner Jana Milutinovic in their first game on Friday evening.<\/p>\n

Milutinovic paired with Clancy earlier this year after Clancy’s regular on-court partner, Mariafe Artacho del Solar, announced she was pregnant.<\/p>\n

The Aussie pair will be playing Chinese duo Xu Yan (Yan X) and Xinyi Xia (X. Y. Xia) in centre court.<\/p>\n

The world championships will be played from November 14-23, with 96 teams from 40 countries taking part.<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 4000 tonnes of sand has been brought in to create the volleyball courts in central Adelaide.<\/p>\n
