South Burnett Online founder Dafyd Martindale is to be remembered with a special bench, donated by the South Burnett Rail Trail Users Association.<\/p>\n

Dafyd was the inaugural president of the association which was formed to promote usage of the trail and its tourism benefits for the South Burnett region.<\/p>\n

The bench, which echoes a penny farthing bicycle, is being made by the Wondai Men’s Shed and will be located in Wondai’s Coronation Park when it is completed.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council passed a motion to agree to the installation of the commemorative bench at its October meeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dafyd died in September last year.<\/p>\n

The bench will recognise his passion for the South Burnett, which included his support for the arts, local events and tourism.<\/p>\n
