Entry forms are now available on the South Burnett Regional Council website for the region’s unique 2025 Christmas Spirit initiative,\u00a0organised by Council CEO Mark Pitt and his wife Nicola.<\/p>\n

The project was launched in 2019 with the introduction of \u201cSanta Claus Lane\u201d (co-operating neighbours decorating their houses), expanding in 2021 to include \u201cSanta\u2019s Workshop\u201d (for businesses) and in 2023, \u00a0the \u201cChristmas Cottage\u201d category was added to allow solo residences to be eligible for judging.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be presenting a perpetual trophy to the winners of the Christmas Cottage and our individual trophies to winners of the Santa\u2019s Workshop in each area at the December Council ordinary meeting,” Mr Pitt said.<\/p>\n

“The winners of Santa Claus Lane will be presented on site with the annual fingerboard.”<\/p>\n

Mrs Pitt said the initiative was about celebrating the joy of Christmas in our community, encouraging neighbours to connect, and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate.<\/p>\n

Registrations close at 4:30pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n
