UPDATE: The missing Blackbutt man has been located safe and well.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

October 20, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police are investigating whether a cap found on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail may be connected to missing Blackbutt man Stephen Hodgson, 66.<\/p>\n

A photograph of the cap, which appears similar to a cap Mr Hodgson was wearing before he went missing on Saturday, appeared on social media on Monday.<\/p>\n

It appears to have been taken on the Rail Trail between Blackbutt and Yarraman.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson confirmed that local police were aware of the discovery and were investigating.<\/p>\n

Stephen Hodgson was last seen in Coulson Street, Blackbutt, about 8:20am on Saturday but has not been seen since.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.<\/p>\n

Stephen is described as Caucasian, about 170cm tall, of slim build with grey hair and blue eyes.<\/p>\n

He was last seen wearing a black, button-up shirt with orange flames over the shoulders, denim shorts, thongs, an orange visor and glasses.<\/p>\n

He also had a black shopping cart.<\/p>\n
