Kingaroy’s National Australia Bank branch reopened for business on Monday after a $2.6 million, two-month renovation which has completely updated the look and feel of the business.<\/p>\n

Gone is the external ATM machine, replaced by two ATMs inside the branch which will still be accessible 24\/7.<\/p>\n

The internal ATMs offer greater safety and privacy for customers.<\/p>\n

Recently appointed Branch Manager Michael Everson said the refurbishment had also included the bringing together of retail and business banking.<\/p>\n

Everything inside the branch is new, with a large open-plan layout welcoming customers.<\/p>\n

Mr Everson said the branch previously had three or four retail staff members; this had now risen to six.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A “digital desk” area has also been set aside for people to do digital banking if they do not have access to a smart device, but staff are also on hand to guide people through the process.<\/p>\n

Mr Everson said NAB would especially like to thank Kingaroy businessman Gary Barron for the use of the land where they placed their “Bank In A Box” during the renovation project.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur Kingaroy branch has been here for more than 100 years and a hub for our community,\u201d Mr Everson said.<\/p>\n

“After spending $2.6 million, we aren’t going anywhere.”<\/p>\n
