Wondai’s popular Spring Garden Expo had more than a little “summer” flavour with temperatures climbing into the high 20s.<\/p>\n

But the sunny weather also brought out the crowds, eager to explore the stalls which stretched around the Wondai Sportsground Oval and filled the Lions Pavilion.<\/p>\n

The number of vehicles lining the Bunya Highway again demonstrated how popular this weekend event is, attracting many visitors from outside the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

There were more than 90 stalls, selling everything from a giant steel kangaroo garden ornament to tiny cacti, seedlings, colourful native plants and homemade crafts.<\/p>\n

There was a bustling atmosphere inside the pavilion, where Wondai Lions Club members were kept busy in the canteen, while outside visitors could relax in the shade and hear gardening tips from guest speakers.<\/p>\n
