The 36th National Police Remembrance Day will be marked in the South Burnett on Monday (September 29) with a non-denominational service in Murgon.<\/p>\n

The service will be held from 10:00am at the Murgon\/Goomeri Uniting Church at 55 Gore Street.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The annual event rotates around the South Burnett every year, held in different towns and venues.<\/p>\n

National Police Remembrance Day is a day to honour\u00a0 officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.<\/p>\n

Members of the are public are invited to attend the service.<\/p>\n

Commemorative plaques honouring the lives of Constables Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold, murdered at Wieambilla in 2022, were added to the Queensland Police Service\u2019s Southern Region memorial this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 20 officers have lost their lives on service in the Southern Region since the 1860s:<\/p>\n
