South Burnett Regional Council has invited the local community to comment on what playground equipment should be installed at Memerambi.<\/p>\n

Council has allocated $100,000 for playground development to be placed in the grassed area alongside the rail trail.<\/p>\n

This is part of $895,303 received by Council from the State Government\u2019s 2024-27 Works For Queensland program.<\/p>\n

Councillors and Council staff will be in the park from 10:00am to 11:30am on Saturday, October 4, to discuss ideas for playground equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cMemerambi has a lot of young families and I\u2019m looking forward to this first stage of a playground in the village, allowing these young families to have a place to meet and build connections,” Deputy Mayor Ros Heit said.<\/p>\n

“Many people ride the rail trail and play equipment here would be an attraction for them. I\u2019m hoping with a new playground, the shop in Memerambi opens, assisting economic development for the village.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m looking forward to talking to local residents and school children to get their ideas on what they would like in Memerambi. I encourage everyone to consider the best option and complete the survey by 5:00pm on Monday, October 27.\u201d<\/p>\n
