The South Burnett’s annual school formal season took off with a rush on Friday night with a glittering celebration in Nanango.<\/p>\n

The big night for Nanango State High School’s Year 12s was held in the school’s large assembly hall.<\/p>\n

As the sun slowly set behind them, students were dropped off at the foot of a red carpet lined with relatives, friends and fellow students.<\/p>\n

They arrived in an array of vehicles, including prime movers, 4WDs, classic Holdens and Falcons, a stretch limo, a Lotus … and a very groovy 60s-style Kombi van covered in painted flowers and peace signs.<\/p>\n

There were even motorcycle escorts!<\/p>\n
