The 22nd annual Heritage Nanango Country Muster officially began on Friday morning, although there’s been action at the Nanango Showgrounds since much earlier in the week .<\/p>\n

Campervans and caravans began rolling into the showgrounds last Sunday.<\/p>\n

By lunchtime on Friday, a total of 596 campers had checked in, with even more on the way.<\/p>\n

“Walk-ups”, ie. amateur or beginner artists, took to the stage on Thursday afternoon and evening.<\/p>\n

But the main entertainment began on Friday, with award-winning country music star Dean Perrett first on stage.<\/p>\n

Other confirmed artists at this year’s Muster include Kylie Castle, Brian Letton, Rodney Vincent, Amos Morris, Owen Blundell and Pete Smith.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The music will continue on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s entertainment will begin on the main stage at 9:00am and continue until 10:00pm.<\/p>\n

A licensed bar will also be open from 10:00am to 11:00pm, with meals available at 6:00pm.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $45 (or $30 after 3:00pm). Children aged 14-17 years are half price, and under 14s, accompanied by an adult, are free.<\/p>\n

The Muster will wind up on Sunday after a Bush Poets brekkie from 7:00am to 9:30am, hosted by Gary Fogarty, and a Gospel morning concert hosted by Dean Perrett from 9:30am to noon.<\/p>\n

Entrance on Sunday is free.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the Muster wound up, Show Society president Les Schloss said he was sincerely thankful to the Muster organising group and the more than 40 volunteers who had given their time to make the event happen, as well the major sponsor, Heritage Bank Nanango.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

“It was a credit to our small community that this festival attracts such a large crowd from all over Australia,” he said.<\/p>\n

“The people bring a lot of benefit to the Nanango business community who support our ‘shop a docket’ each year.”<\/p>\n

A total of 620 caravans, motorhomes and campers stayed at the showgrounds with over 1600 people attending the Muster.<\/p>\n
