Former Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney will chair the new-look Board of Sunwater in a shake-up announced by the State Government on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The government-owned corporation maintains 19 bulk water supply dams in Queensland, including Bjelke-Petersen and Boondooma dams in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

The new appointments to the Sunwater Board are Jeff Seeney (chair) and directors John Cotter, John Davis, Katy Steele and Dr Kayleen Walsh.<\/p>\n

A similar shake-up has occurred at Seqwater with existing Board member John McEvoy appointed chair with new members Amanda Cooper, Mark Girard, Amanda Kenafake, Antonia Mercorella and Pauline Thomson.<\/p>\n

Water Minister Ann Leahy said unlocking Queensland’s water supply was the key to delivering economic opportunity to rural and regional communities.<\/p>\n
