SES volunteers and invited guests gathered at the Nanango SES Shed last week to acknowledge support from the Energising Queensland SES Equipment Program.<\/p>\n

The program is a partnership between the SES, Energy Queensland (Ergon, Energex and Yurika) and Powerlink Queensland.<\/p>\n

It provides SES Groups with highly valued equipment, improving the capacity of the volunteers to respond to emergencies.<\/p>\n

The North Coast Region – which includes the South Burnett – will receive more than $64,000 worth of equipment, divided between 45 SES groups and units.<\/p>\n

More than $1.5 million worth of equipment has been delivered through the partnership over the past 10 years.<\/p>\n

Donations on display in Nanango included a \u201crescue man\u201d dummy used in flood rescue training, power tools, stretchers and a car fridge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
