Don’t be surprised if you see a cameraman and an artist travelling around the region over the next eight months accompanied by a very large pair of gym boots.<\/p>\n

It will be artist Robyn Dower and videographer Charlie Spagalli working on an innovative arts and tourism project dubbed \u201cWouldn\u2019t You Like To Be In My Shoes?\u201d, dropping into everything from festivals, musical events and sporting days to art galleries and museums.<\/p>\n

The idea is to capture the arts, heritage and culture of the South Burnett on film, reels and photographs, showcasing the region to potential visitors and local residents alike.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year local tourism organisation Visit South Burnett received a South Burnett Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) grant, the first made under a new annual major funding round.<\/p>\n

The funding will allow Robyn and Charlie to travel across the region to capture a vibrant snapshot of our regional lifestyle while posing the rhetorical question: “Wouldn’t You Like To Be In My Shoes?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The concept will be tied together through pairs of black gym boots, emblazoned with the South Burnett logo. These shoes will appear throughout the filming.<\/p>\n

Adding to the fun, the project will also include shoe-themed arts activities and a pair of oversized shoes (made from scratch by Robyn) for visitors to pose in for photo opportunities.<\/p>\n

The result will be a promotional film for the South Burnett, complemented by short-form videos and still images to be shared across digital and social media platforms.<\/p>\n

It is hoped the film will be ready for release by next May.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett RADF program is jointly funded by the State Government and the South Burnett Regional Council.<\/p>\n
