Kingaroy’s annual Winter Warmers event, traditionally held in the Town Hall Forecourt, moved indoors on Wednesday night to cater for a special guest.<\/p>\n

Gold Coast comedian Mark McConville, who also holds a Masters degree in Suicidology, shared some laughs and life advice from the Town Hall stage to an appreciative audience.<\/p>\n

Mark was brought to the region by the South Burnett Suicide Prevention Working Group to hold a series of laughter workshops for the general public as well as practitioners in the welfare sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The visit was also the perfect reason to hold a Winter Warmers comedy night.<\/p>\n

Patrons enjoyed nourishing pea and ham or pumpkin soup in the Town Hall Reception Room before the comedy night began.<\/p>\n

There was also a table filled with “winter warmers”, ie. blankets, scarves, mittens and caps which people could take away for free.<\/p>\n
