Police have charged a man following investigations into alleged weapon and drug offences in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy detectives searched a property on Kingaroy-Burrandowan Road at Taabinga about noon on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said detectives located several drug-related items and a firearm and took a 39-year-old man into custody.<\/p>\n

The man has since been charged with several offences including possessing shortened firearms, unlawful possession of weapons and possessing dangerous drugs.<\/p>\n

He was due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

UPDATE: Charles Anthony Hoger was remanded in custody to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 19.<\/strong><\/p>\n
