The Kingaroy-Memerambi RSL Sub-Branch handed over a cheque for $2500 on Thursday as a “thank you” to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.<\/p>\n

Two members of the Sub-Branch Executive have been assisted by the RFDS over the years so the group was eager to help.<\/p>\n

The funds were raised through Sub-Branch activities, including raffles and the sale of memorabilia.<\/p>\n

RFDS Queensland manager for community engagement Stuart Bonnett accepted the cheque at the Kingaroy RSL Club.<\/p>\n

Sub-Branch secretary Steve Reynolds said this was the first time a donation had been made to the RFDS but the group hoped to do it again next year.<\/p>\n

Mr Bonnett said the RFDS operates nine bases across Queensland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
