A 19-year-old Cherbourg man has been charged with a 20 offences – including four counts of armed robbery – following a crime spree in Kingaroy on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said about 4:30pm a woman was walking to her vehicle in a car park on Windsor Circle when it is alleged she was approached by a man who threatened her with a knife to hand over her car keys.<\/p>\n

The woman complied and the man allegedly attempted to steal the victim\u2019s car however he was unsuccessful and left the scene on foot.<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old woman was not injured.<\/p>\n

About 5:00pm, it is alleged the same man entered a Windsor Circle property through a back door where he threatened a woman with a knife, demanding her car keys.<\/p>\n

The man then left the property in the victim\u2019s car driving a short distance before abandoning the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The 49-year-old woman was not injured.<\/p>\n

About 5:05pm, it is alleged the man entered a James Street property through an unlocked door threatening two women with a knife.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He then left the scene with cash stolen from one of the victim\u2019s handbags.<\/p>\n

Both women were unharmed.<\/p>\n

Ten minutes later, a woman was sitting inside her vehicle on First Avenue when she was allegedly approached by the man demanding she get out of her vehicle.<\/p>\n

When she refused, it is alleged he grabbed her by the arm pulling her from the vehicle before leaving the scene in the victim\u2019s car, a 2016 Holden Colorado.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old woman was not injured.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Walter Road in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

About 1:55am on Wednesday, police observed a 2024 Toyota Rav4 allegedly travelling at high speed through the Youngman and Haly streets intersection in Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After further investigations police located both the vehicle and male driver in Cherbourg about 7:00am, where he was arrested and taken into custody.<\/p>\n

It is alleged the vehicle was stolen after keys were taken from inside a Railway Terrace address earlier that night.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old man has been charged with 20 offences including four counts of armed robbery, three counts of trespass, two counts each of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling with intent, attempted armed robbery, stealing and driving a motor vehicle without a licence and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter premises and commit indictable offence.<\/p>\n

He was expected to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday.<\/p>\n

UPDATE: Alonzo Purcell was remanded in custody, with the matter adjourned to October 10.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
