Police have charged two men over the alleged theft of copper and other property after reports of suspicious activity at Burra Burri.<\/p>\n

About 5:30pm on Tuesday, police received reports that two men were acting suspiciously at a makeshift campsite on Burra Burri-Darr Creek Road.<\/p>\n

A short time later, about 7:00pm, police were conducting patrols when they intercepted a Toyota LandCruiser towing a trailer along Jandowae Connection Road at Jandowae.<\/p>\n

When officers searched the vehicle, it is alleged they found a large amount of suspected stolen scrap copper along with air conditioning units and power tools.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 36-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, both from Dalby, were arrested and taken into custody.<\/p>\n

They have both been charged with receiving tainted property and were due to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing into where the alleged stolen property was taken from.<\/p>\n
