The community artwork created during the recent NAIDOC Week celebration in Kingaroy will be on display soon in the Kingaroy Library.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesperson said the work would then be moved around the region and hung in different Council buildings for others to enjoy.<\/p>\n

The work, guided by Cherbourg artists Robert and Robyn Langton, reflects the 2025 NAIDOC theme “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy”.<\/p>\n

People attending the NAIDOC event in Memorial Park – both young and old – added their handprints (and even footprints) to the canvas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The handprints represent the next generation, power, strength and the action of communicating together.<\/p>\n

The yarning circles represent the strength unity and vision of everyone coming together sharing stories, songs and art.<\/p>\n

The project was funded by the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the State Government and the South Burnett Regional Council to support local arts and culture.<\/p>\n
