Kingaroy’s Under 8s Day was bigger and better than ever this week, attracting hundreds of children and their families to Kingaroy’s Memorial Park on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The day is organised by South Burnett Partnership For Kids with support from local not-for-profit groups as well as the South Burnett Regional Council and Sunpork \/ Swickers.<\/p>\n

Peta Clarkson said this was the fifth year that the event had been held, and it had been the biggest so far.<\/p>\n

“We have had more than 40 stallholders, 10 more than last year but there’s always room for more!,” she said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The children were going for stall to stall, playing games and learning new skills while their parents and carers learned more about the services on offer around the community.<\/p>\n

The day was also supported by local emergency services, with displays from the police, ambulance, fire brigade and rural fire brigade.<\/p>\n

“Everyone volunteers their time to make it happen,” Peta said.<\/p>\n
