The 2025 Wondai Country Running Festival was a resounding success, drawing a fantastic turnout of participants and spectators alike.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The festival featured a diverse range of events along the scenic South Burnett Rail Trail catering for all running abilities.<\/p>\n

I was proud to sponsor the All-Abilities Race – this inclusive event provided an opportunity for participants of all abilities to engage in the festival, embodying the community spirit that defines Wondai.<\/p>\n

The festival’s success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the organisers, volunteers and sponsors who made it all possible.<\/p>\n

Primary Industries Forum<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Earlier this month, a highly successful consultation session for the Queensland Primary Industries Blueprint was held at the Kingaroy RSL.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Attendees gathered to discuss the draft 25-year plan, focusing on shaping the future of Queensland’s primary industries.<\/p>\n

The event featured a policy forum and a capability statement workshop, providing valuable insights and opportunities for collaboration.<\/p>\n

The session emphasised the importance of the 25-year blueprint and offered attendees a chance to contribute ideas for the five-year action plans.<\/p>\n

This initiative reflects a commitment to building a thriving future for primary industries in Queensland.<\/p>\n

The engagement and input from participants highlight the collective effort to ensure the sector’s growth and prosperity.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy State School Visit<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

I had the pleasure of spending time with the student leaders at Kingaroy State School during a recent visit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We gathered in their beautiful library, a space that was as impressive as it was inviting. This setting provided the perfect backdrop for an engaging and informative conversation with a group of thoughtful young leaders.<\/p>\n

They shared their aspirations for the future, discussed their favourite books and reflected on the subjects they enjoy most.<\/p>\n

It was inspiring to hear their perspectives and to witness their enthusiasm for learning and leadership.<\/p>\n

The students’ openness and engagement made the experience truly memorable.<\/p>\n

It was a privilege to spend time with such a remarkable group of young individuals, and I look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the future.<\/p>\n

Maddi Visits Parliament<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to spend time with Murgon State High School’s 2025 school captain, Maddison Holding, during Budget Week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maddison participated in a program that allowed students from across Queensland to engage directly with the State’s budgetary processes.<\/p>\n

Invited by the Premier, she took part in interactive workshops and received a behind-the-scenes look at Parliament.<\/p>\n

This experience provided her with a firsthand understanding of how the Budget impacts Queenslanders, enriching her educational journey and leadership development.<\/p>\n
