55 Million Years Ago – Murgon’s unique fossil museum and art gallery in Macalister Street – has unveiled its latest exhibition.<\/p>\n

Visitors gathered at the gallery recently for the official opening and to enjoy an “elegant afternoon tea” organised by the volunteer team to mark the changeover of works.<\/p>\n

As well as sipping from fine china, the visitors had the opportunity to browse the latest artwork on display (all for sale) and a stunning piece by Glenda Geraghty (unfortunately, not for sale).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Glenda, who was one of the moving forces behind the establishment of the 55 Million Years Ago, has obviously been hiding her skills!<\/p>\n

Visitors could also see some of the updated attractions in the museum, including new display cases and a model of an extinct marsupial lion.<\/p>\n

The gallery, which fills the southern end of the complex, changes the artworks on display every two months.<\/p>\n
