55 Million Years Ago has been awarded a “Best Of Queensland Experience 2025” accolade<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tourism & Events Queensland\u00a0(TEQ) has recognised Murgon’s unique fossil museum and art gallery, 55 Million Years Ago, with a special accolade.<\/p>\n

A logo which proclaims “The Best Of Queensland Experience 2025” and “Recommended by travellers” has been placed on the 55 Millions Years Ago page on TEQ’s official website.<\/p>\n

This State Government-run website markets Queensland attractions and events to local and international tourists.<\/p>\n

55 Million Years Ago, in Macalister Street, Murgon, offers interactive displays in its fossil museum as well as exhibitions which change every two months in its art gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

TEQ has described 55 Million Years Ago as “the perfect stop” for travellers to drop in and discover Murgon’s secrets, “ancient and everlasting”.<\/p>\n

A new hologram exhibit was opened in the museum earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Footnote: The latest art exhibition at the gallery will be officially opened this Saturday afternoon (June 21) with an “Elegant Afternoon Tea”.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
