Yarraman & District Historical Society will receive $1745 a year to help cover insurance costs<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Toowoomba councillors have approved a new four-year schedule for its Core Community Support Program.<\/p>\n

TRC has committed $221,033 to support 68 community groups, community halls, organisations or historical societies for the 2025-26 financial year.<\/p>\n

For the remaining three years of schedule, Council has set a total budget of $654,372.<\/p>\n

Unlike the competitive TRC\u2019s Grants Program, organisations included in the Core Community Support Program schedule are not required to make an application to receive funding.<\/p>\n

However, they must comply with conditions outlined in the funding agreement.<\/p>\n

The Core Community Support Program Schedule was previously reviewed biannually; however Tuesday’s decision means the schedule will now be reviewed every four years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis program provides community groups a level of certainty regarding funding, which can help them plan for the future,\u201d Cr James O’Shea said.<\/p>\n

The groups named in the new annual schedule until 2028-29 include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Cooyar Agricultural Society Inc<\/strong> – $5000 a year for financial support of the Cooyar Show<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Cooyar Memorial Hall<\/strong> (TRC-owned hall, operated by Cooyar Agricultural Society) – $1745.24 a year for insurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Yarraman Memorial Hall Society Inc<\/strong> (TRC-owned hall) – $1745.24 a year for insurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
