The Kingaroy bowlers were undefeated in the Gladstone tournament<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Over the recent Queen’s Birthday long weekend, Kingaroy lawn bowlers Geoff Gees and Kerry Smith competed with Brian Churstain and Trevor Wiggins, of Yeppoon, in the $10,000 Gladstone Invitational Fours Tournament.<\/p>\n

During a most successful weekend, they played six games against teams from throughout Queensland including Brisbane, Bargara, Rockhampton and Gladstone.<\/p>\n

The team won all six games and remained the only undefeated team, taking out the $4000 winner’s prize.<\/p>\n

The second placed team could only manage four wins from six games.<\/p>\n

The scalps taken by the local team included bowlers who are considered amongst the best in country Queensland bowling circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
