I was very proud to visit the three brand-new state government funded houses in Kingaroy, proudly delivered by Regional Housing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regional Housing is a not-for-profit community housing provider and these beautiful units will soon become homes for those in need.<\/p>\n

Phil and Daryl are just two of many JPs from the electorate who give their time volunteering in their roles as JPs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Collectively,\u00a0 they have dedicated an incredible 93 years of service.<\/p>\n

National Volunteering Week and Queensland Law Week was the perfect time to shine a light on the great work they and so many others do in our region.<\/p>\n

Nanango’s Back Racing<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Nanango Races are back, and it was a pleasure to attend and sponsor a race in support of the club.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The grounds looked fantastic, thanks to the hard work of the club, and it was wonderful to see strong community support with a large crowd in attendance.<\/p>\n

Mark your calendars … the next race meeting at Nanango is scheduled for Saturday, August 9.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Blackbutt show was a hit with the woodchop always a highlight for me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The weather was perfect and community support was strong. Congratulations to the hardworking committee. Your efforts did not go unnoticed!<\/p>\n

Murgon QEII Park Transformation<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Works for Queensland (W4Q) program funds new projects, infrastructure, and jobs to allow rural and regional communities to thrive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I had the pleasure of opening the revitalised QEll Park in Murgon – a shining example of what W4Q can achieve. The area’s upgraded facilities now make it perfect for community gatherings and everyday enjoyment.<\/p>\n

Thank you, Aunty Venus Rabbitt for your beautiful art displayed across the park\u2019s footpaths and plaques – these will be appreciated by visitors for years to come!<\/p>\n

Motherland Visits Kingaroy<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

It was lovely to spend an afternoon with a great group of South Burnett women at Motherland Mother’s Day fundraiser, held at the spectacular setting of Hillview Cottages in Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Motherland is a charity close to my heart that supports the mental health of rural mothers.<\/p>\n

I had the privilege to feature on CEO Stephanie Trethewey’s Motherland Australia podcast last year (Episode 233).<\/p>\n

Small Business Month<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

During Queensland Small Business Month, I had the pleasure of visiting and promoting many outstanding businesses across the South Burnett.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Their sponsorships of local sporting clubs and events provide essential funding and fosters community spirit and engagement. By celebrating and supporting our small businesses, we invest in the future of our communities.<\/p>\n
