The Gumnut Place in Murgon will be able to buy new equipment – and upgrade software – thanks to a $15,500 donation.<\/p>\n

Representatives from the Murgon chapter of the Grand Lodge of Queensland (Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes)\u00a0visited Gumnut recently.<\/p>\n

Bruce McAndrew and Trevor Sanderson met staff and toured the site, which is run by South Burnett CTC.<\/p>\n

The Gumnut Place provides supported employment to people living with a disability.<\/p>\n

It offers commercial kitchen services, woodworking, engraving, laundry and secure document destruction.<\/p>\n

CTC CEO Jason Erbacher said the donation was a meaningful example of community-led generosity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThis gift shows the strength of what happens when local and statewide groups invest back into the community,” Jason said.<\/p>\n

“The Grand Lodge of Queensland has demonstrated how giving back can create real, lasting opportunities for people who deserve the chance to thrive.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Grand Lodge is a non-religious, not-for-profit men\u2019s organisation with a long history of supporting charitable causes.<\/p>\n

The Murgon chapter meets monthly in Wondai.<\/p>\n

The Gumnut Place manager Lizz Geppert said the donation would help upgrade crucial equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe will be able to purchase new kitchen appliances and upgrade our engraving software, which directly supports our supported employees and improves our efficiency,” Lizz said.<\/p>\n
