Kingaroy’s popular Red Ant sculpture has been moved along Haly Street to a new spot outside the museum building.<\/p>\n

The sculpture was an entry in the 2019 Kingaroy Sculpture Prize.<\/p>\n

It was later acquired by Council for its regional collection and mounted outside the Visitor Information Centre in Haly Street.<\/p>\n

The work was created by Gold Coast artists Andrew Cullen and Dion Parker from steel and wire.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesperson said the sculpture had been moved to give it “more promotion and visibility”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An overhead spotlight will highlight the artwork at night.<\/p>\n

The move was funded by the State Government’s “Works 4 Queensland” program.<\/p>\n
