UPDATE: THIS WARNING HAS NOW BEEN LIFTED BUT A BOIL WATER ALERT IS IN PLACE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council issued an alert at 11:00am on Thursday to Blackbutt residents: Do not drink the tap water!<\/p>\n

The Council advised all Blackbutt residents not to consume tap water “following a loss of supply at the Blackbutt Reservoirs resulting in significant discolouration”.<\/p>\n

“This precautionary measure and alert apply to all residents connected to the Blackbutt Potable Water Supply declared area, until supply is restored,” a Council spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“Council is currently working to restore supply to Blackbutt and will provide further advice and\u00a0updates later today.<\/p>\n

“Residents are requested to share this alert with neighbours and friends.<\/p>\n

“Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and would encourage residents to report discoloured water by contacting Council on (07) 4189-9100 or by email<\/a>“<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
