The Bunya Mountains Community Association Inc (BMCAI) has received $2250 from the South Burnett Regional Council’s community grants program to raise awareness about biosecurity and safety issues on the mountains.<\/p>\n

A cheque was presented to the BMCAI recently by Cr Linda Little.<\/p>\n

The association will use the money to prepare, produce and distribute educational brochures for both locals and visitors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

BMCAI secretary Carol Weekes said two brochures would be made produced: “Finding Fungi In The Bunya Mountains” and “The Bunya Mountains Dingo”.<\/p>\n

The brochures will be available at various locations in the Bunya Mountains and through Visitor Information Centres in both the South Burnett and Western Downs council areas.<\/p>\n
