Police have charged 29 people with 50 offences following a targeted drug and traffic operation at the Rabbits Eat Lettuce music festival at Stonelands over the Easter long weekend.<\/p>\n

Between April 18-21, police conducted 1761 random breath tests and 265 random drug tests as well as searching 19 vehicles and 23 people.<\/p>\n

As a result, police allegedly seized 15g of cannabis, 4g of cocaine, 2g of amphetamines, three MDMA tablets, three LSD tablets, one vial of steroids as well as cash and drug utensils.<\/p>\n

Police have charged 24 people with 45 drug offences, two people with drink-driving offences and three people for unlicensed driving.<\/p>\n

Another 25 people were issued with traffic tickets.<\/p>\n

Acting Inspector Brett Everest said police would\u00a0 continue to take a zero-tolerance approach to anyone bringing illegal drugs to public events.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s incredibly disappointing to see that despite our continued warnings we still have people who think it is ok to attend these family-friendly events while under the influence of drugs,” Acting Inspector Brett Everest said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd what\u2019s even more concerning is that a number of those intercepted by police who had gotten behind the wheel, putting other people\u2019s lives at risk.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis operation sends a clear message \u2013 if you\u2019re thinking of attending public events with drugs, we\u2019ll be looking for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Operation X-Ray Bandelier involved officers from Murgon and Kingaroy police stations, with assistance from the Brisbane Dog Squad, Road Policing Taskforce and Kingaroy, Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley Highway Patrol units.<\/p>\n

Four people, including two children, were taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after two vehicles collided in Nanango on Tuesday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to Brisbane Street at 3:40pm.<\/p>\n
