Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Esk on Thursday night in which a South Burnett woman was killed.<\/p>\n

Initial investigations indicate that about 1:30am, a Toyota Camry sedan was travelling along the Brisbane Valley Highway, near Falls Road, when it left the roadway and struck a tree.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called a short time later, however the driver and only occupant of the vehicle – a 36-year-old Coverty woman – was declared deceased.<\/p>\n

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or CCTV\/dashcam vision to come forward.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, no one was injured in two other incidents on local highways overnight.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emergency services were called about 11:30pm on Thursday to the Bunya Highway, south of Kumbia, after a vehicle crashed after striking a kangaroo.<\/p>\n

Traffic on the highway was affected for a short time.<\/p>\n

At 8:30am on Friday, a truck and a vehicle pulling a caravan collided on the Wide Bay Highway at Lower Wonga. The caravan overturned but no one was injured.<\/p>\n
